Glacial Lemony Orange! One plus to putting down the straight is that I can break out the Glacials. Today's go-nogo is the Dart. And I'm still on the fence. It's not so huge, but it is heavier than I like. It is an outstanding shave, though. I'm leaning toward keep. But I just don't think that I'll use it that much because of the weight. Maybe I'll try it with a smaller handle.
I got a shave in a little while ago. I have to go in to work an hour early in the morning and rushing the shavette ain't a good thing. I started out with this. but ended up with this. So you ask what went wrong? The cheap Kai Red gave out about half way through the shave. It dulled very quickly and the Barbasol just was not cutting for me. I have not used canned foam in almost five years and I know why. So I loaded a Feather Pro in the Kai clone. Wiped my face off and applied some Cremo. Oh....what a difference. The Kai clone is a good solid razor and the Feather Pros are smooth. I just need more practice with the kamisori style razor. Just a little warmth of alum and finished it off with some Nivea post balm. No blood loss tonight. Take care everyone!
I recalled the hot sauce discussion from April. I just finished a bottle of Frank's (the Barbasol of hot sauces), and I wanted to step up my game to the Arko or possibly even the Tabac level of hot sauce. I picked up my first bottle of Louisiana, and it's a winner. It's a little thinner than Frank's, and I like the balance between vinegar and spiciness. I don't have taste buds of steel, but I've already used it to add some interest to taco soup and also to bean soup. Good stuff. I'll try something else next, but it will take awhile to finish this bottle.
Hot sauce is a lot like soap, Charlie. You need to have 20 - 30 bottles or more so that you have some variety. Try some Texas Pete.
