Reading the straight razor forum area more since yesterday. Loads of great information and help from the experienced members. A lot to absorb and think on. Thanks for the tip on more laps on the strop after honing, will be doing that in the future!
Great shave and photo Jim. I bet the Thäter feels like a huge wall of soft badger face lathering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ordered! @NCoxSTL, package should arrive at your place COD next Tuesday. I'll pick it up at the meetup.
Very nice shave, Andrew, and a wonderful photo of Logan. He's growing fast. You're greatly blessed, my friend.
@NCoxSTL doesn't mess with coupons...too much trouble getting them to his doorman for COD payments... In case he doesn't give me the soap at the meetup, I'll ask again a few years from now. Maybe he won't remember how much it cost.
Interesting shave this morning. Once again, some trouble loading the Burma Shave, but once I felt I had enough on, I proceeded with the shave and it really felt nice. The power of the Chiseled Face soap almost made me stop after the first pass, but I decided to put a load a small bit more. I'll keep the B. Shave around..perhaps I just need to figure I can still get a good shave with it, it's just bit tougher than my others(to load, that is).
Thanks Doug.....that one and the "Boston Celtics Mascot" have the tough knots. The others are softer synthetics.
