Though I do prefer longer handles I find that I easily adapt to using the 1914. It is an extremely forgiving Razor yet still efficient, I think that those who find the 1912 rather daunting will like this.As usual todays Shave was rather good and I ad no problems getting an excellent close all round finish.

Autostrop B1 with a Feather stainless steel FHS-10 blade, shave 1.

Having shaved a bit with these and this being the first shave with this blade I have to say this razor is fairly mild. I tried to match the angle to how I use a micromatic razor for the shave. Shave was good but I can get just as good a shave with numerous other DE razors. The razor looks intimidating but the shaves thus far are anything but. Maybe the other models are more aggressive or I need to dial in the angle better. I'll see how many shaves and try some different angles I get out of this blade then use a modified gem stainless ptfe blade next in this razor see if I can replicate these shaves.

Though I enjoy using this Razor, I just cannot no matter how I try get an ultra close Shave, always passable but my beard seems to resist it, even with a fresh blade. Still good enough for a day out officiating on what promises to be a rather chilly day.

It's just the mug, I use it to hold sample size soaps.
I got the mug 2nd hand it just was full of soap scum
I like it as a shave soap mug, it is nice and big making loading the soap on the brush easy. It has sterling's frozen tundra in that picture.

    Eskimo Tuxedo
    Jayaruh #360 Synthetic
    Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
    Gem Blue Star CS SE
    CWR
    Florida Water

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #360 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today's shave with the EverReady razor.
Not my favorite, but it gets the job done.
