I love the scents and the prices of RazoRock soaps, but I find they're a bit lacking in slickness. If I add a little Arko to the lather--not enough to mask the scent of the RR, just a little--I get a great smelling and performing lather.
I've spoiled myself with Feather blades so much, I now don't like most other blades. I like it when a razor glides over the skin like it doesn't have a blade in it, but clears the whiskers clean. Most blades don't do that on my face, they tug and pull brand new. So I took out the Wilkinson Sword blade that came with the razor, and put in a Feather. tp
after starting with riding the cap i have found the sweet spot for most of my gillettes.its now become muscle memory holding the numerous angles while shaving..my shaving times are half of what they used to be and i can have a quick .comfortable morning shave before work.pre shave not needed but enjoyed..
+1 Ah yes Stephen, I have the same issue, normally I have found that the heavy razors are the problem. But if the razor has a heavy handle to ballance out the head, I don't have near the problems. I have had good luck with Shick Injectors, plastic or bakelite, all aluminium razors and some other light SE's. Glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing that. Should add that to a head shavers faq or something for new head shavers. tp
That would be good sir! I do like the Schick for shaving my head, it is way easier than my blackbeauty (heavy head light handle, that makes so much sense) thanks
I learned that stropping the microteeth off of a sharp straight at the expense of some rounding of the edge, is the right thing to do especially with a razor with especially hard steel.
I learned that when buying shaving gear from Amazon....tick the gift box, that way they do not put a receipt in the package for the wife to find
