oooh ok..the only time I'd settle for milk chocolate now is if I need some more Dark-Chocolate Sugar-Free Jell-O, packs and the darks are gone.
I've been eating Total flakes or Wheat Chex with milk for breakfast the past few months. Switched off of my favorite Frosted Mini Wheats once I realized how much sugar those contained. Total and Wheat Chex are lower in sugar. I'll snack on about 6-8 cashews a little before lunch. Sometimes a prune or two. I had some roasted almonds but ate those up. Again, nuts and prunes are calorie-laden so I just have a few. I count them out! For lunch I have made a big shift that's been good. I eat in the school cafeteria each workday for lunch. Pretty good variety and it's cheap (just $3.25 for adults). I head straight to the salad bar first and I fill up the entire bottom portion of my tray with salad. Good, leafy lettuce, grape tomatoes, green and red peppers, and other items. Just depends on what they have. I'll use just a little bit of dressing. Then I'll get a few things off the hot bar, like vegetables. I'll often get a small serving of the entree. Yesterday I had a big salad with a very small serving of chicken casserole. I always grab some fruit and drink water along with it. I'm not logging my food or counting calories at the moment, but my shift to taking up 2/3 of my plate with salad at lunch has helped a lot. I'm down a little over 10 pounds since January 2. I'd like to lose two or three more and hopefully can with a little more discipline. Remember, you are what you eat! I think that adage is absolutely true.
had a busy weekend with family over.. lots of food and drink.. still maintained the few drinks on fridays only ,while others partied on. felt good.
thank you sir.. with more exercise in the coming good weather months and continued reductions in alcohol consumption/crap food i should start seeing more improvements.. my joints are thanking me.. is a slow process, but rushing it has short lasting results for me..
Another thing I'm doing-sprinkling Chia seeds into any cereal that is low in fiber. It's quite something with these seeds, you barely taste them(although you SEE them in there, of course).
67kbs?!? 36 waist? Excellent! Congratulations!!! It's so great to see you get the results you wanted and needed. The cool thing is that maintaining is easier than losing, and it sounds like you are winning.
I recommend getting an air fryer if you don't already have one. I bought one about 2 months ago and I cannot recommend it enough. Chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside within 20 to 30 minutes depending on the cut. I knock back on my bag of broccoli steamers while the chicken is cooking. I went from about 193 to 199 in 2 months while getting leaner just because my recovery is better !!!
Nice to know you like it. My wife and I have been considering getting one. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I now have the right bag of Chia Seeds. What do I mean by "right". It's my 3rd bag, and the one I just had was lower in fiber than was the first. Maybe this was due to it being "Organic" Chia Seeds. Anyway, the bag I now have has 11 G. worth of the healthy stuff. I'll still be using Flaxseeds but rotating with the Chias.(as we do with our shave products, chuk-yuk-yuk).
Turbo ovens are a great option, too. The best I have seen are the EasyCook Turbo Ovens. My mother still uses the one she bought 25 years ago. The company is Australian, but they used to sell their products in the US, too. The company should be able to tell you where you can get one if you email them. https://www.easycook.com.au/shop/original-727-turbo-oven/
Only small potatoes (certainly compared to the 5km I ran tonight) but every day in the office, I park my car in the spot that's the farthest away from the entrance. Always empty, and a free walk
