I have denim stropped a new Feather, but that's as far as I ever got with them. Actually, the denim stropping was with the blade in the razor and I literally "shaved" my pants, two or three strokes on each side, then flipped the blade and repeated. Basically turned the first shave into the second.
Thanks, Clint! Like I stated earlier, it is a superficial cut, not deep and it was clean. As they say, it's the cost of doing business.
Keith, when I am inspired to do the fool's pass, I press down on the area and slowly work the blade upwards with my fingers trailing behind. For me, it gives me better control and a better result. I have used your method and also have kept the blade stationary and moved my head downward. All these methods work fine, but I prefer my aforementioned technique.
Selfie! That's a serious candidate to save for showing before his first date! Don't sneeze...he'll be in HS sooner than you think. Does the elementary school yours will go to have this program? https://dadsofgreatstudents.com/faqs Here's a great video (even though ML created his own drama): We had over 140 dads (out of 600) students in the elementary where the girls went. 1 to 2 Dads on campus almost every day of the school year! One year I did 128 hours at the school. Then, at middle school, we had about 20 dads....then...our H.S. wouldn't implement the program. Sigh..... But, I'm now knee deep as a band parent volunteer, so it's still a good thing.
I worded that awkwardly. Invalid test only for "real world", but a reasonable conclusion for what actually happened. I didn't mean to be curt or belittling. Apologies.
Funny thing about "Baby" haircuts(at barbershops)....I was born in 1957, and I'll wager that the first barbershop my dad took me to had plenty of Clubman. If so, the fragrance didn't get to me then, but it sure did 15 years or so later!!!
I am also a fan of first use Feather DE blades. I do palm strop them before the second use. I only use them twice.
Chris, I didn't take offense whatsoever. I welcome different perspectives because that is how I learn. I responded to explain another plausible possibility that some members might not have even considered. Although I will be 64 next month, I don't know everything and having technical shaving discourses among members helps everyone in their shaving adventures. To wit, isn't this the reason why we are on this forum?
Wednesday Shave Arrived home from a red eye flight, I needed a quick shave to head out to a meeting. Given my lack of sleep and needing a quick shave I opted for a Rocnel SE-G. Thursday Shave This razor just arrived from its plastic surgery in the US. I really enjoy this razor but the scales it came with were terrible, black plastic covered with a film that was peeling. Since this is a top quality razor I sent it to Kevin's @HolyRollah razor beauty clinic. He but some gorgeous scales on it and a red wedge, as a plus he puta very smooth but very sharp edge on the razor. Now she is a beauty queen with a sharp edge. I also made progress on EDBIO. Irritation A+ Closeness A+ Smoothness A+ Sharpness A+ Razor: Herr Razors Strop: Brush: Kent BK8 Pre: Proraso Soap: AoS tallow + AoS cream AS: Jeris Osage AS, Speick ASB Scent: Creed Neroli Sauvage
Every now and then, one of our sweet kids at the hospital will rock a man bun compliments of the nursing staff. It gives us all something to giggle about.
