  1. Thank you Joe! Could soon be an unobtainable set up. One of those AS is out of production, and there's rumors the other may be, too.
Thank you Clint! It's not any faster since I muck around with the shave cream, but I find it an acceptable lather with water added.

    May 10th

    Neutrogena Men's Face Scrub
    Proraso PS Red
    Zenith Boar
    Puma Special
    TOBS Sandalwood SC
    TOBS Sandalwood AS Gel

Zenith Boar whipped up one of my top 2 creams. Lathering, aroma, and slick bliss easily attained with the new shaving bowl. 2.5 passes with a little buffing on lower right neck. DFS done. Before starting, the Puma ran for 100 laps on the strop. No skipping, irritation, or other shenanigans as it landed each stroke. Quite happy with today's shave!

About time to replace the TOBS tub of SC. Maybe 3-4 shaves left, bottom completely exposed, with only swirls of product left on the sides. Very first wet shaving cream I used when I started in January.

Lots of work and extra chores today. Wifey diagnosed with Bronchitis yesterday. Tried to go in for work (no fever, on antibiotics, doc said ok), but they sent her home. For the best obviously, rest is what's needed. Tonight is our HS end of year band banquet and awards ceremony. Busy.

Hope everyone has a sensational Friday!

  3. Razor: Blackland Blackbird (Bluebird) Delta Echo Razor
Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Steel (19)
    Brush: SOC Mistura Badger/Boar
Soap: The Real Shave Co. Cream
    Folsom & Co. Capri
Bowl: The Castle Shave Co. Bowl.

Raining last night and today, didn't feel like venturing out. Had a good shave with 2 passes and a touch up.

  8. I've seen:
    Dolphin Smooth and variations
    BDS - baby dolphin smooth
BDBS - baby dolphin bottom smooth
    The BBS level variations
BBS level 4 (wonder if that is like 4 AFF - 4 alarm face fire)

When my wife was in barbering school they tested with a cotton ball. Same as was done by the State Board Examinor. I know, it was my face.

If you get the cotton ball, irritation free it is an accomplishment. Maybe IFCB.

I think folks should chase the irritation free shave. IFS.

    So much for subjective abbreviations.
  9. I used to work with a guy who would say, "at my age, I don’t even buy green bananas"

  13. I'm all for doing your own thing and not following the norms; however, I've seen things in the workplace taken to extremes, in my humble opinion. I wasn't surprised to learn that scents in the workplace can be problematic. Scents are probably not an issue 99.95% of the time... Common sense and considering others before myself kept me out of trouble most of the time at work. Every now and then, I learned something new. :) I know we're all having fun here, and we love the different scented problems. I'd say Randy is making a wise decision. The leader actually more rules and expectations placed on his/her shoulders than anyone else in the organization. I'm not claiming that any of this is right...or makes sense. I'm just sharing my personal experience.

If I worked around someone with a scent allergy, I'd think twice about using AS. I might still use it, depending what I had planned for the day. When I'm with my sweet kids, of course, I don't use AS. I'd wear blue hair for my kids if I they asked me. :)

Have I told you lately that I love being retired? Now where did I put my Clubman....
