  1. I gave that a whirl last year. I'm passing this year! That was my longest shave ever. Great job!

  2. Love it! I have the same razor. It takes a steady hand but delivers a good shave.

  3. Not a chance.
100 F or so outside high humidity.
The machinery took it the rest of the way.
Plenty of fans to blow the hot air around though.
  4. Praying for her. And for you.

  5. Came in an auction lot of gear. I think the one when I got a Stahly so I didn't fuss. The handle was in pieces and I've never used it. A Type N-1 I believe so it'll never shave like a F. Just something to play with.

  6. I think I'm gonna chill out and just watch all the other crazy people. I did have my first go at sharpening a straight on a hone. It's probably as crazy as I am gonna get this month. It was not a resounding success. Had to punt and use the shavette. I need a lot more work on my honing technique, and probably a better hone.

  7. Sure. I've done it, and will if you decide to join in the insanity.. Since you SR pretty well, it might just work out.

Today was a gorgeous shave, i found a new technique for using balm and aftershave, ill share it in a separate post, but for me it works great.

Awesome shave from the Wilkinson sword TTO and the feather, the feather is definitely starting to struggle with cutting through the thicker stubble, theres still no tugging but it will now definitely be retired at shave number 40, its currently on 35 .

The bundubeard 250g coffee soap is an absolute jewel. It produces such creamy protective lather, and its even better with the new Wilkinson boar brush Sav sent, absolutely fantastic stuff!
The bundubeard and other local artisan soaps are national treasures, they're as good if not better as any foreign artisan soaps and incredibly good value for money in most cases even cheaper than mass market soaps.

As for the aftershave, i never ever get tired of old spice whitewater, absolutely fantastic scent.

    Razor: Wilkinson sword classic TTO
    Blade: feather hi-stainless (35)
    Soap: bundubeard coffee 250g
Brush Wilkinson sword classic shave premium edition
    Aftershave Balm: aquaeous cream
    Aftershave: old spice whitewater.[IMG]

  12. Never tried the modern, Keith. The vintage is one sweet juice.

  15. May 11th
    Razor: PAA DOC Ascension
    Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
    Brush: PAA Solar Flare
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple
    Stirling Lemon Chill witch hazel
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: Stirling Iced Pineapple

    Good morning!

Great first outing with the Ascension! I opened it up a 1/4 turn, took three passes for near BBS. Just a tickle from the alum.

Humid climates aren't my favorite except when it comes to shaving. The residual slickness is on a whole different level.

    Have a great day!
