Yeah...I should have reached for one of my DEs, but my brain was in the Why Not? mode. Not quite a, Hey!....hold my beer or MAYhem shave, but as close as I want to get to one. LOL. On another note...the errand included a trip to a mall that has an AoS store. I did the politically correct thing and substantially underspent the Mother's Day shopping that I and my daughters did for wifey!
Thanks, Danny! We moved all of stuff to storage last week. We have a few essentials and are living on the family farm in Talladega County. The move coincided with a very busy time at work. I haven’t had time to do much of anything. There is no WiFi out here in the country. We updated our phone plans this morning to include a personal hotspot, so we’ll have a little service now. But my computer is in my office. Anyway, things were exacerbated late Monday night. I took out my contacts as usual and immediately had pain and watering of my eyes. The pain became unbearable and I had to go to the ER. Severe dry eyes was the diagnosis and apparently that condition is terribly painful as I experienced. Pain is gone now but my left eye seems to have experienced refraction. A specialist we saw on Wednesday said “I don’t know” over and over as to what happened or why my left vision is so different now. I have to go back and see him on Wednesday. He told me to wear glasses only and not my contacts. I missed two days of work and had to postpone a concert. Definitely not ideal but everyone seemed fairly understanding. Pain is gone but vision is still off in my left eye. It has improved a little and the doctor thinks it will slowly correct itself. Definitely a strange situation. We have a contract on a new house and are waiting on them to evaluate some areas of concern we found on the inspection. We’ll close around May 29 if everything goes okay. Otherwise living on the farm is pretty comfortable. Lots of bourbon between the various residences! I hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully I can tune in better once a few more events are finished.
Good to hear from you, Perry! So sorry about your eye. Get well soon my friend. Hopefully everything comes together with the new house. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
And for lunch...patas de pollo! One more thing that just a few short years ago I thought I would never eat. With tajadas, which are fried green banana slices.
May 11th British Aristocrat Jr w PermaSharp (2) Omega ‘83/ Poculi Beehive Asylum/SV Colonia combo Thayers Quick post and check in. Had a very nice 3 pass shave early this morning. Everything worked as it should. I have been having fun coaching all day, but no time to spend on here so far. I’ll try to have a more fulsome report on the Red Tip vs Crat Jr comparison fairly soon. Gave a great day all!
