User-grade Gen 1 Filly 14 DT, Pre de Provence was lathered with a Tulip 2, and a splash of Harris Pink finished up, with a little dap of PdP balm at drydown. Poifect as Bugs Bunny said.

For the frugal fellows, Pre de Provence is hard to best. 150g of translucent quad milled soap for somewhere between $10-15 and it lasts for freakin’ ever. Lathers easily and is slick, slick, slick. Scent is kind of a non-descript green sage (not cooking sage) that’s common in Provence but not here in the States. They also make a woody version called 66. The balm is equally good, and about 1/3 the price of Cade.

NOS 7/8 Herder 49 that’s one of two that I honed up last night, details in the honing thread. Soap, brush, and AS were a redux from yesterday, and I’ll maybe use them again tomorrow test shaving the other Herder 49. I have certain soaps that I like to test razors with, MdC, SMN, I Coloniali.... but PdP is excellent for this too, the slickness being very desirable, and the soap was already out on the bathroom shelf.

I was afraid this Russian was going to let me down. It’s been a long time favorite but the reduction on the early passes was so-so. Not to worry, super close by the end, nothing but face-rubbing goodness. Da Comrades, is glorious. :happy036:

USA Made razor tonight, and freshly honed today. I had one of the smoothest shaves I have had, in a long time. It was buttery smooth WTG and Buttery smooth ATG. The Naguras with the Welsh Slate Stones did wonders. It was so sharp, and smooth, I didn't notice I had taken off two bumps on my neck, that never was an issue before. Never felt it, just saw the blood. HHT-Chuck Norris sharp.

Razor- Hart Steel, JA. Made in the USA.
    Brush- Stirling Boar
    Soap- TOBS Cedarwood
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Triple Crown Decanter

Thank you, Keith, I don't photoshop my photo's and my razors are usually NOS razors, the photo was taken at 7 pm in the evening in my back garden, the sun was still pretty high in the sky but still a setting sun, it cast a reddish colour which reflected on to my stainless steel square sheet which I use as part of my photo setup.
