Today feels like it should be Friday. Sadly it isn't the case. The little Duke 3 loaded and lathered the SV Aromatica with ease. The scent of the soap is just intoxicating with the performance to match. Three passes and touch ups ended with in another BBS shave. I did end up with a couple of weepers due to my errors. This is not unusual as I experiment to find the optimal angle. A splash of the matching aftershave and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

    Oneblade Synthetic Shaving Brush
Salsa Bowl / Timeless bowl scuttle
    Razorock WTP Orange Sunrise
Yaqi Matte Black DOC Head on Homemade Acrylic Handle
    Voskhod Blade
    Nivea Post Balm
    Pinuad Clubman Classic

This was just a fun shave this morning. :happy093:If you do not own a Yaqi DOC I would recommend you adding one to your den. They are just great shaving heads.

When I ask for some feed back on the acrylic handle there were a few thoughts about it being slick, and understandable so. I did not find that to be a problem. I dried my hands off and only dipped the head in water to clear it and I did not have a problem with grip or control. I can see it as a problem if you have soap or water on your hands. The ½ diameter gave me enough surface to grip. The handle is light but works great when paired with a light head.

I am really enjoying the Razorock WTP soaps. They are just awesome performers and a great value to boot. I seem to be leaning toward milled soaps for some reason lately and I want to try the Alabama made Green Mountain Soap.

Finished up with some Nivea and some glorious :happy005:Pinuad Clubman after shave lotion!

Take care and have a great day.

  10. What "flavor" soap is that Razorock? I'm guessing something coffee-like?

  12. Well, the break-in period for my Burma Shave brush is over. It really scooped up the Chiseled Face soap well. Back when I had my first Burma Shave brush, I was still getting used to the loading skill. This might have been prior to joining TSD. You fellas "enabled" me to try others. :)

  17. Jason, Is L'Orange Noir a Fine soap and if so have you used and what are your thought on it? I was wanting to add another milled soap to the den and I was eyeing Fine or Green Mountain.

I’ve had a good 3 days with the G4. Everything worked as it should this morning. I hadn’t reached for the G&T in a bit, and I really liked the scent this morning. Between this and the Castle Forbes Lime, I’ve enjoyed lime scents as spring has sprung.
    Have a great day all!
