  1. Yep!

Thanks Danny, but not my bag of tools anymore. Sold the film gear (both 35mm and medium format) years ago.

  3. 'Companion' is something most folks do not understand about 'herd animals'. Not much I hate to see more than a horse by themselves.
It is the origin of the phrase 'to get their goat'. Supposedly goes back to someone taking a companion animal away from a race horse to negatively affect his performance.

  4. Did not know that about the "to get their goat" phrase. I did not know where that came from. Thanks I learned something. Horses are social animals and one of the main reasons my son got another after the other one passed aways. He really did not need another horse but they like the companionship of another.

  8. Love mine.

Yeah, not at all what you'd expect from the old USSR, is it?

This guy has the Proraso red for a not terrible price:

I've never bought from him, so I can't vouch. And he's in the UK, so probably not actually legal. I have seen them on ebay for <$30 before.

  10. Thanks, Andrew! We are at the airport now. We gave ourselves plenty of time to get here, turn the rental car in and get through security. We got here fast, the rental car was a breeze and less than four minutes to get through security. Our flight has been delayed an hour so we have plenty of time to kill.

  14. A well made good looking straight doesn't matter where it's from IMHO ;). Turning into a big fan of the artisan or non mass produced/marketed current trend of SR styles. Yeah, I've been spending way too much time lurking straight razor threads and searches lately.

Did a little math (ugh, not today)....I get a good number of my Proraso products via Amazon US subscribe and save program....turns out it'll end up less than $4 US for the 300ml vs. the 3.4oz size, and I get the cool glass decanter bottle (that will be reused with another AS option when it's emptied soon).

  17. Thank you.

Where I learned to ride, I would often help get horses tacked-up for group rides. The stable owner asked me to retrieve this fella from a stall for saddling. I inquired about his name, not knowing, the response of "I don't know just get the red one" came. He to this day is just "Red".

Like many of the horses we trail broke, he came as quite a basket case. Like I said, he became the best ever. So relaxed that anyone could ride him. My wife hated how pokey he was for her. Yet, he always gave me anything I asked for. He had the smoothest natural gait for a non-gaited breed.
