    SOTD 05162019.png Against the advice of those who know better, since I had already ordered the blades I loaded one and gave it a shot in the shiny new kami shavette. Chinese blade makers just don't try hard enough. I got a smoother reduction from the straight I'd touched up a couple days ago. I stuck with it for a WTG on my cheeks but just couldn't see doing any reduction below my jawline. The good news - previous SR & shavette handling experience translates well to kami grips. Plenty of slick from the MW lather whipped up by my Shavey Awards prize from last year (Thanks Randy! @BaylorGator). Keeping with the gold razor theme I did the other 5/6's of the reduction with a well worn Aristocrat. Very little gold on the doors but it shaves well. One small nick on my chin that I attribute to a raised bump from an ant bite. I've been weeding mom & dad's flower beds. around the house, and pecan trees. It's been wet so the ants go to high ground, right where I've been poking around. Otherwise a pleasurable experience and I'm looking forward to those Feather AC Pro blades arrival.

    Another solid shave. Seemed alot like Lord SS, I actually wonder if they are not the same blade stock with a different imprint and label...alas, again a flawless performance for the Egyptians.

    2016 Vintage TSD 2X Iced "Barber Shoppe" was a treat to break out, and along with the Ingram kept things super fresh! Glad to be done with today! 83f, overcast skies and muggy. Other than the hum of the climate control...all is quiet in Colorado.
