Nice... I'm still trying to figure out if I am going to get a straight razor , I'm still a bit scared of them. I have never used a straight razor before.

Impressive. I always assumed the background of many of the pictures here were photoshopped. I don't mind either, but it is definitely impressive when you take a picture that stands out on its own.

    Max Sprecher Custom
    Vlasta Chubby Boar
    Wholly Kaw Vegan Soap
    True Gentleman Preshave Oil
    John Varvatos Artesian Aftershave Balm

First shave with this fine razor made by Max, it certainly did not disappoint at all.
First use of that Cubby Boar brush made by Vlasta and I am actually impressed how it did .

    Enjoy your evening gentlemen![IMG]

An answer to the question, “what is sharper, a straight razor or a Feather blade?” The answer is YES, a Feather Straight :)

Very nice acquisition. Max Sprecher is definitely on my want to buy list.

I did not know they also made straight razors. Another NOS blade, very nice.

Dorko 7/8 full hollow. This baby definitely makes some noise during the shave.

I’ve seen a few but not enough to get a history. Searching just overwhelms you with Feather Artist Club stuff.
As far as this razor, it is just what you would expect from a quality Japanese straight... very nice.

Used two straights today. Russian made razor with new scales, thank you @M14Shooter. And FW Engels from the same generous man. The Engels had dulled a little, probably a bad stropping job on a non focused day. Took to the Arks to get the edge back. I was really just testing out both razors. The Engels never disappoints. The Russian razor is awesome when I can get it's angle down. More or less, comrade, and I are still having debates. Lol shave on friends.

Today's shave was with a Newly Honed, and restored razor, from Germany. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Great edge on this razor, put on by some Japanese Nagura stones, care of @Steve56 .

    Razor- Prima "MAX", Solingen Germany
    Brush- Sterling Boar
    Soap- TOBS Eton College
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Vikings Horn Decanter

Doing my best @Billyfergie impression with a Minty, possibly NOS, Solingen beauty... a C.S. Bresnick “Original SUPREJ”

If I remember correctly, this distributor is tied to the Dubl Duck brand. You will find Bresnick, then Bresduck, and then finally Pearlduck Dubl Ducks out there.

I fell for the hammered tang :).
