Got this one coming in next week I hope, never had a SubCero. Looking forward to sprucing it up a little and seeing how it hones up.
Beautiful razor Steve! Since mine is shortened, I probably only had 80% of the experience. Will be fun to hear how it compares to your other examples.
Thanks! Hey, shorties are nice! I expect that it will be about the same, but it will be interesting to see if the steel is harder.
My Nordic ( Swedish ) Erik Anton Berg 11/16th Arrived Today...Minter than Mint..Looks as if it was Made Yesterday...Reset the Bevel & its Whacking Whiskers Midway From the 1 K Bevel Hone... Its the Dogs Danglies...A Keeper for Sure..They Shave Pretty Much Like a C.V Heljestrand... Delighted... Billy..
They’re out there Scott. Lots were made and still plenty in good condition. Not the cheapest, but they were well made, and the scales were first rate in spite of the sometimes non-standard colors. Most of which I like BTW.
Very nice @Billyfergie 11/16 is an unappreciated size. I very much prefer it to 5/8, and an 11/16 is more maneuverable than 6/8. Sweet size for sure.
Never had one. They looked nice and now I need to learn something new...and get more gear! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Awesome start! Big fan of the Red Imp and the Tally Ho. Red Imp had a few different distributor/makers. My guess is that’s a Morris Imp. I have seen Ludo and Case Imps also. Again, some fine razors and thanks for sharing. Tom
I know what you can do with the second from bottom right side and or top right. I you decide to sell a few holla at da Fuzzy one. Beautiful razors there.
Will definitely keep that in mind, sir Fuzzy! Not sure exactly what I am going to do with them all since I have no experience in shaving with or maintaining straights. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Suggestion if you are considering 'the Dark Side'...... Send 2 out for honing and commit time for the learning process. You will get great coaching here and in the 30DC thread. They look to be in great shape. Be well.
T.Hessen Bruch & Co. Hillinger & Allison 1/4 Hollow Ground 7/8th I just liked the size and style of this razor. I have another, made by this Company, and they use great steel, and are usually very well made. The blade is centered, and came tight. Plus, this has just the right amount of Patina, for me. For $15, I felt it was a good deal. The only issue is a little rounding of the heel will be needed, but just a little.
I have someone willing to hone a couple. Now I have to figure out the rest on my supplies for maintaining them. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
