  6. Great milestone Danny!!

Hope to be there in a few years myself.

My father had a Whipple procedure and made it 19 years after to 83 years old. It's not as grim as it used to be.
Whish David luck! Praying for him.

Second... pulp wood truck eh? Awesome. Growing up some of the local cut and hauled pulp wood. Some of the most junky trucks you would ever see on the road. Shave on and thanks for stiring great memories.

  10. I will add prayers for your friend and his family. Pancreatic cancer is a tough road to have to travel.

  11. Growing a beard and moustache added at least a decade to my appearance. Shaving it all off again was the equivalent of getting a facelift -- and it cost absolutely nothing.

  13. Thanks, Joseph! I got a 40% discount on it from SRD because they were going out of business. My first straight razor purchase; what a score!

  14. Awe Charlie, but you know how things slow up at The One Soap Twiddleydinkers (TOST).

The superiors gotta have fresh meat for the grinder every once in a while. And right across the street.

  15. Everyone who wonders if they have accumulated too much stuff should try boxing it all up. :happy068: We're pretty much packed, and we have most of the containers staged either in the garage or on the first floor. We've organized a bit and donated a few boxes of just about everything you can imagine. It's amazing how fast things accumulate.

Our driveway is formed and should be poured tomorrow. A few outside items remain, but otherwise we're ready to go. We close on Tuesday, and boxes will start moving once we get a certificate of occupancy...hopefully Wednesday or Thursday. Our big pieces of furniture should move this coming Saturday. Our schedule has had to change a few times in the last couple of weeks, but overall the process has been fairly smooth. Our builder is a man of his word, and he's worked hard to get our home finished. If all goes as planned, we should be in our new place next Saturday. First shave in the new den should occur over Memorial Day weekend.

Thankfully, I just reached my weight target of 200 lbs and got in better physical shape as the move approached. I'd never be able to pull this off at 275 lbs. Thanks for letting me share details of my move over the past few months. I hope to get back to a normal routine fairly soon.

I'm still shaving with the Mongoose. Everything else is packed. :) Hope all is well, gentlemen.

  20. Thanks Jim. I haven't seen 200 lbs. in a long time. I'm still heavy according to the weight charts, but I feel good and have tons of energy. If I can stay within 198 and 202 and continue to feel good, I'll be satisfied.

We're gettin' there on the move. This final push has been a little stressful as schedule changes consumed all the cushion in our schedule. The worst of it will be over in the next week. Once we get everything moved, we can unpack at our own rate. Life is good. :)
