Your right, there isn't that much price difference. I don't know what I was thinking. I've edited my post.

I am a fan but set the knot using the same loft in a rubberset handle. I've had it for about 5 years now. I am not sure if it is actually more dense or just shorter loft but it doesn't splay like the other Omega brushes I have had. Short answer long, I like it, but prefer the slightly taller 24mm knots (80265 or 10065). It is the only boar brush I have had for the last few years.

Still staying the course with the Canadian Post-War Tech and 7 o'Clock Indian Green.

I did play around with the soap a bit this morning, however. The puck of Williams in my mug was down to the doughnut stage (more like a bowl shape with an open bottom). I pulled it out, inverted it (now a dome with hole), and pushed it into the soft soap in the mystery bowl until some started to bubble out the hole. I'm not sure what ratio of what was the result (probably still most Williams) but it worked well. Definitely no complaints on the whole shave.

A question for the GoT fans... If you sail west from Westeros for long enough do you reach Futureros? :)

    Univinloins Salon kamishavette
Shulton OS Leather AS & Cologne
SOTD 05222019.png Don't know if it's Fuzzy's @wchnu voodoo, or just the way Williams works best, but I face lathered the M.Williams today. Damp brush loaded until pasty, dribble of water just above the soap, build the non-buttercream on my beard. It's nearly stable that way and hangs around almost long enough to get a full pass done. Went WTG, ATG, and XTG in something similar to a DE pattern. Still working on my chin but getting better on this, my 4th use of the razor, 3rd with the Feather brand blades. Daughter commented she could smell the Old Spice a room away. When I found the pair in the wild, the AS had been used a little more than the Cologne. Today they are at the same level. Not much difference in the formulas because AS tends to have 2-5% scent oils, and Cologne 4-8%. Since I paid estate sale prices I'm enjoying the vintage like I'll never see it again.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

    Great shave and picture, Rick!
My last two Williams lathers were thick, slick and stable. I may have to try face lathering with it to see what results I get.

I’ll add to the love for the Chubby Synth. Thanks to the quick and adept enabling skills of @clint64 mine arrived yesterday as well. I have not been a fan of synthetics at all due to their lack of backbone. Soft and floppy ain’t ever good in my book... Uhm, anyway, this brush is the first Synth that has brought enough backbone to the party for me to actually consider comparing it to some of my two band badgers. And it’s purty too!

Beautiful brush Randy! The Simpson's synthetic is unlike any other synthetic on the market, and if you love backbone, you will love it!

Wow, your sticker is off kilter as well...not as bad as mine, but the sticker on @clint64 's latest is centred under the number 2, right under the U and B as the word Chubby is 6 letters. Yours is slighty off of that and mine is worse. Unbelievable.
