Beautiful brush, Clint. I hereby award it the Simpson "Amigo" Quality Stamp of Approval with the A+ Excellent Superior supplementary endorsement. Museum/Heirloom quality, to be sure.

 

SOTD:
What a beautiful shave, i used the boots cool colgne cream that Sav sent for the first time, what a great cream! Very weak menthol but super super slick stuff!!!

The fatip piccolo performed wonderfully as usual, and so did the Wilkinson sword blade on use number 8.

The Wilkinson sword brush is basically worn in now, a very good beginners brush for sure!

Daves home made menthol A/S is perfect for cooling off your face after a shave!

Hope all is well, gents. I plan to check in briefly each morning for the next few days before things get busy with moving tasks. Everything is proceeding according to the most current plan...landscape and sod going in today. We met the developer at the nursery yesterday, and My Bride was ready with her landscape sketch. I was just along for the ride. I enjoyed her seeing have fun picking things out, and I'm glad someone else will do the planting and mulching today.

If @BaylorGator questions my Quality Control findings, please assure him that the test accounts for parallax. I've forwarded my test method certification docs to the Cartel in case he decides to protest the findings. He will not succeed, but I'm sure they'll send him a few extra cookies with next week's allotment to make him happy.

 

My sticker is a little off as well. In fact owning 4 of the brushes each sticker is placed a little different. Also since the knots are all hand tied they vary slightly in density and size. The variances used to bother me but I love the brushes so much I just think of them as character now.

I don’t blame you, Rick. Without the keen watchdog skills and master enabling techniques of @clint64 I would’t have had a chance. I had basically given up prior to him stepping in. Now I’m stoked to have one. How he’s been able to procure multiple LE’s I can only attribute to mad skills, too much time on his hands, clean living, and/or voodoo magic.

Wow, my wife mocks me for my perfectionist tendencies, but for whatever reason, the sticker doesn’t really bother me. I’m gonna go with Clint on the Character thing. On another note anybody have a theory on why so many wetshavers fit this profile? Maybe a perfectionist is the only kind of guy who would shave 3 passes instead of say “5 blades x 1 pass x no skill x mediocre results = good enough”. Any other theories?

 

Randy my secret is easy. I have Twitter set to give me a notice anytime Simpson posts a Tweet. I have missed a lot because of meetings etc but I have managed to get my share. The day after we bought our brushes, the website had a Sunspot Orange with 3 units available. It stayed up for days. My resolve gone, I went to the site and all were gone. Whew. I was going to have trouble explaining 2 brushes arriving back to back.

I can't begin to explain how glad I am that this week is just about over. At least I was able to get in a great shave this morning. "The City" provided a rich slick lather. I am not a fan of the scent off the tub but the citrus and sandalwood come to the front while lathering making the scent very enjoyable. I am not sure I would repurchase this scent but I can't complain about the performance of the soap. Three passes with touch ups ended with a BBS shave. I will finish up the work week with the safety bar plate and go back to the open comb for the long weekend. A splash of Fine Santal and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Thursday.
