Today I have chosen a 'winter' soap: days are sunny, but early morning still pretty cool.

Soap performs excellently, but I am still perplexed by its fragrance: must quit buying soaps I have not previously smelled!

The CC Rotbart is a great machine if coupled to the right blade.

Curious how 'noses' may differ: the only Proraso I like is the Red one. Could not get along with the White one's smell!

Lol I couldn't agree more about the Proraso Red (BIG fan - I just used it last night again). Although, I think the eucalyptus in the Proraso Green has a calming scent.

As with all soaps, creams, aftershaves, etc it’s a case of YMMV. I also like the Proraso Red. :)

Oh gosh, I absolutely DETEST the Proraso Green’s scent. When it was reformulated that was the end of it for me.

    Again... lol
Eucalyptus is one of the scents i cannot stand, as vanilla, mint.
All sweets and fruit scents, but orange and bergamot.
That's maybe why I'm still single: every cloud has a silver lining! ;)

I did not even know it had been!
I might have used it over 50 years ago.
I survived and never ran the risk again!

Love it. Hence the reason why there is so much available for us to enjoy. We all have unique noses. Our senses activate different parts of our brains and awaken different emotions in each person. The way the human body works is just mind blowing .

Interestingly, there are many "5-star" reviewers for Clubman Vanilla on Amazon. I would not be one of them. (In fact, I'm not, lol).

    Fine "Marvel" razor
    Gillette Silver Blue blade
    Fine Classic Synthetic brush
    Morning TOST Shave Soap
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Barbasol Brisk A/S

Really like the Marvel razor. Looks ferocious but isn't, I find it smooth and very effective. All the parts worked well together today and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

One of my top selection of tallow soaps is from an artisan. Soaps are really great: slick and protective.
Scents, though, are sort of weird: lebkuchen, coffee, etc.
He makes also conventional scents: lavender, vetiver, etc.
But, as of now, I never could come across a normal fragrance!
The last one he made seems to be fantastic but will not buy it before smelling it!

Almost is almost one of my favorite words in buying stuff.

    Love the brush too.

Joseph, I will be quite honest. I am thoroughly impressed with the Eleven's performance and scent. A gorgeous lather with equally good hydration and luscious peaks. If you enjoy a sandalwood, earthy with some musk notes that is not overpowering with a touch of sweetness, this will not disappoint. It feels like a very luxurious and expensive soap that left my face soft and supple. The a/s splash is bolder in scent with a nice alcohol touch for a light quench with good skin toning and finish. A crisp clean masculine scent that smells refined.

I almost went for Stephens today, but opted for Catie's Bubbles Barnegat Bay instead. The decision was tough.

From what I can see, the lather seems somewhat watery: is this the way you prefer?

That lather looks very well hydrated. Maximum slickness achieved. It will appear loose and/or watery, but even without being there, I can tell it's optimal for shaving---especially with a straight edge.
