Rick, I believe you know that if you place the razor flat on your face and then lift it so that it cuts the whiskers, than you will not have landing cuts. Eventually, the muscle memory for that razor will kick in so you can land the blade without it being flush on the face.
Blair, that's a bella Cella shave. The Henckels razor is an awesome shaver. I have a 7/8 Henckels square point and I always get a great shave when using it. My razor is a Friodur and the steel is harder than the regular carbon steel. If your razor is an Inox Friodur, than you have to use more honing strokes to account for the difference in hardness. Now, I don't have any experience in honing, this is what I have researched and it does makes sense.
