I didn't see a category for blades on the forum, so I'm posting this here. I ordered a sampler pack a few days ago and got 3 blades from 5 different mfrs. One of the set of 3 are in plain wrappers with absolutely no labeling on the actual blade. Everything was there except the KAI's, so I assume that they are Kai blades. Anyone know if loose Kai blades are labeled in any way?
Thank you for the answers. They must be the Kai's like Jluc says. There is no label on the actual blades either.
Mine came in a sample pack also. Here's a picture from a Google search: Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Really! Well, well, looks like you just sold me on a package or two. Sharper than Feathers? Hmmmm. thanks tp
Confirming the unmarked nature if Kai blades. I like them in most any DE, and they work in a 1/2 DE shavette, too. The steel is either a little thicker, or it's tempered differently. They feel more stiff than other blades. On par with Feather blades for sharpness. Can't say if I recall them dropping off as quickly on subsequent shaves like Feathers. I wouldn't tell a New Shaver not to use them. More caution them that these are very efficient blades. Maybe not as forgiving or smooth as others.
EBay Amazon Try a Blade. Places like that Google them price them out. Some cheaper than others Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Amazon 100 for $37 free shipping. The mens room barbershop 200 for $60 at thay price range, free shipping. First I heard of this place though How bout you?? Paid $40 for 200 feathers, but if they last more than one pass, they would be cheaper. tp
If the Kai's are sharper than Feathers, I may just try them in my Merkur Futur first instead of my Ikon X3.
Might try a tuck to see how they serve you Terry. You go through blades quicker than anyone else I know. You do it the right way - shave until they don't "feel" right. Not sure I'd say sharper, but Feathers & Kais are in the same ballpark. The Kai just might last me a little longer. I long ago quit counting the number of uses & just change out when they feel dull.
Funny.... Never been accused of doing somthing "the right way". Just got spoiled by sharp blades, no burn, no blood, you know the deal. For years and years I scraped and scraped to get shaved. Now, I don't like the pulling or tugging any more. Like a little kid that only likes vinilla ice cream. I only like sharp blades. To tell the truth, some here have helped in my quest to shave well, wonderful people, trumendous help. Thanks tp
Iv'e ordered from them several times. Never had a bad experience. Not the biggest selection, but great prices on what they do carry.
