  4. Check the fine print and look for asterisks. The advertised peak speed might happen at 3:15 in the morning, and needs corresponding throughput from the website you are connected to. If you don't suffer from buffering and "Loading, please wait"screens you might be doing OK. Someone with more current experience might further expound on the subject, or ask a 12 year old.
  5. Thanks Joe! Mistakes were made but I learn so it's forward motion. The grips are slightly different from a SR with scales. Shorter handle and never flip flopping around from loose pins. Also less of a clue about index/angle but I'm getting the feel so I don't have to eyeball the handle to know how much angle I'm at. I'm having fun, and getting shaved. I can live with a couple shave related opps scabs!
  6. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

Might I just state for the record that it is much funnier to read of someone else doing this than doing it yourself.

Side note: Pretty sure we have a Shavey Category for this.

  7. 20190528_132931.jpg 20190528_132950.jpg Snake Bite made in in today. This stuff is jacked up. First, it was bagged to keep the menthol contained and second it looked like a puck of fiberglass but then I realized it was the menthol crystals. I think I am going to like this but I may have to wear goggles while shaving to keep my eyes from watering.

  8. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts once you've used it. I have a few Stirling Glacials and PAA Frost Byte. I think those are at about my limit.

  10. The Xuemery (Feather Artist Club clone) came in today and I have to admit that it is not a bad looking razor. I do not have a Feather to compare it to but the build quality is not bad. It also came with 10 blades that the box states “Made in Japan. So, there we have a Chinese clone of a Japanese razor with Japanese blades. I picked this on up on E-bay but Andrew @Linuxguile found these on Aliexpress for around $13.00 to $14.00. Link is below. This may be a cheap alternative for you to try your hand at this type razor if have an interest in a Feather.

    Good afternoon, gents!
    Just finished my shave.
This is Dovo Shavette shave #72 Voskhad blade was employed. Using my Rocky brush, I lathered Stirling Glastonbury to a nice wet consistency. WTG, ATG passes with touchups. This was an awesome uber BBS shave without any nicks, cuts, weepers and irritation. I have had great shavette shaves, but this one is the best! Strike that! I will say it was my best shave ever and that includes shaving with my traditional straights. Finished with the Stirling Glastonbury AS and there wasn't a sting to be felt. Wow!
    Result: Grade 99.5 = A+
Have a great day and a great shave, guys! 20190528_144902.jpg 20190528_144902.jpg

  20. Thanks, Danny! It was such a fun shave that everything came together! I have been experimenting with the water/soap ratio and I have found that a wetter lather gives a better shave for me. Some of the great U-tube shavers' lathers are fine, but not as wet for my liking.
