Here’s my Tuesday SOTD:

What a temperature difference - it was 31C with beautiful blue skies and it’s only 10C under grey skies this morning. This shave was absolutely magnificent - smooth as silk and so comfortable. The scent of this Groom soap is lovely, it’s a pleasure to lather and the residual slickness is awesome. Dave’s balm is so soothing as well as super moisturizing, so this way it’ll help prevent my tan from peeling. The Groom aftershave has that same great scent as the soap, and by the way, they’re both made right here in Montreal. All it took were to passes for a perfect BBS result!

Dandy shave this morning. The Vera Soap Co shave soap is some really good stuff. Very local vendor but it's marvelous. My face is very very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

 

Senator/BIC. Decent on the beard, not particularly effective getting beyond DFS on my head, required the Enders-Proline to finish the 9th.

I wanted to try this razor out, and I figured it'll probably shave like my Type L Schick, and I was right. Because of it's mild head and lightweight handle, it couldn't produce a BBS shave for me. Even tho I did three full passes, I achieved an OK, by look only, decent shave. In the past, I actually got better shaves using certain carts. By comparison, my Gillette Blue Tip will give me a BBS shave in two passes and touch up with the same amount of stubble as before today's shave. So with that said, this razor will either be used only for display, or go on the auction block.

A wonderful shave. Heavier than its SS sibling yet, nicely balanced with an efficiency and smoothness that is as good as the SS if not better. Fantastic performer that did not disappoint. A great evening and shaves to all....​

Tonight's shave was with a finely made Solingen Razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, without touch ups, that left me silky smooth. This is a very well made razor, and the scales are as beautiful of emerald green, as they come. Too bad they are gassing out. I have to store it with the blade out.

*Well, the Zorrik proved to be a very good blade, haven't tried in my benchmark stick yet to call it great but it's a nice blade for sure. The F OC plate is a delight to shave with great on dense, contoured problem areas and a true two pass, nick free BBS combo.
