What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

I started with the hawk2 and finished with the ZY. The hawk2 is a tremendous razor giving very close shaves, but I had to go for the straight razor to have even a better finish on some spots and that says everything.

It all started with @Billyfergie . One of his sayings is being "Dolphin Smooth", and I just added on to it by combining the Baby Butt Smooth with the Dolphin Smooth sayings. Then, "Baby Dolphin Butt Smooth"(BDBS) was born.

I have been on vacation, for several days, and just now got around to shaving. So, it is Monkey Tail Time. I had a silky smooth 2 pass shave, with minor touch ups, around the chin. This left me with a BBS face. These vintage Monkey Tails are not too common, and fun to restore, hone and use.

Been on vacation going down the Mississippi for a little over a week and I am finally back home. It's about 40 degrees difference between home and New Orleans. Nice shave this morning. I really like this badger brush. Have a good one.

Nice razor @Billyfergie I’m afraid mine won’t match it, lol.

Gold Dollar 66, part of a tomo test that I’m doing, details soon on the honing thread. Soap was the sadly discontinued RazoRock King Lois Lavender, a truly fine soap, lathered with a Simpsons Keyhole 2. A splash of AB finished up a very nice shave indeed. The edge was outstanding.

 

Tonight's shave was with a finely made Solingen Razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, without touch ups, that left me silky smooth. This is a very well made razor, and the scales are as beautiful of emerald green, as they come. Too bad they are gassing out. I have to store it with the blade out.

Inspired by Jamie's @Jamie Mahoney recent JWest shaves I decided to use my first JWest, a pristine Takahana Feon 172. I wish the pic came out better some fingerprint smudges and shadows are showing on the blade.
