Great report and picture. I will be breaking my Univinilions out next month for a Gillette / shavette focus. My silver one came in and the only problem is they laser engraved UNIVINILIONS on the blade. Other than that is looks amazing for $9.00.
Last shave of the month Black and blue! Black I2 Deep blue sea soap, aftershave and beard oil. Finished with Bleu de Chanel. 2 passes on my face and head and I am slick and smelling good! Tonight is High school graduation for one of my wife's old students. So that's what I am doing tonight. You all have a great night! Sent from my LGMS550 using Tapatalk
Thanks Danny! With only the Univinilyons (Is that how it's spelled?) as a "new" piece of kit and the consistent Focus item, I'm running out of ways to pose my gear for photos. I saw that on the AliExpress page. Hopefully it won't cause drag when shaving. I felt that sticky suction effect before shifting lather consistancy to sloppy wet. For the price they look like they'll hold up until we're ready to buy the real thing.
For my last shave of the month, I pulled out the ol' Cooper plastic doodad. NOS until this morning. And the vintage Cooper blades? Nope. Some other time. I used the Permasharp that was in the Dart. This would be I think the third shave for this blade. I must say, I'm extremely happy with this razor. The angle was really easy for me to find. And that's all it takes to get a great shave, from any razor. It's light, but I'm fine with that, being a fan of injectors and such. I should have tried this sooner. First time out, it shaved me as well as any razor that I own. Joe Bob says check it out.
Friday evening May 31 - Fat Friday Canadian Gillette Pre-War triangle slot fathandled Tech / Personna Lab Blue (6) Simpsons CH2 Chubby Synthetic Bristles brush MWF/Kent in beechwood tub Alum and Stirling Barbershop splash I was going to shave with yet another neglected cream, La Toja, but at the last minute, I switched to a neglected soap and did Fat Friday instead. My MWF has been sitting unused in its non-airtight wooden tub for over a month now. Not only has the puck dried out and shrunk again, it developed such deep cracks that it broke into four or five pieces. If you don't keep this soap hydrated through regular use, it certainly let's you know what it thinks of your treatment... Despite that, it lathered quickly and easily, filling both the brush and the tub with suds. The Lab Blue on its sixth outing was starting to show signs of age. Not really tuggy yet, but not a crisp clean cutting action anymore either. And the alum stung in spots afterwards. Looks like "five and out" should be the maximum for this brand on those occasions when I ignore my usual "three and out" rule. The Stirling Barbershop splash provided some good skincare and a scent I haven't smelled in awhile to finish off a decent shave. May wasn't really a MayHem month for me this year. I left the shavette in the drawer, as well as the chintzy plastic paint scraper. (Maybe for Cinco de Julio...) Apart from the accidental iced nuts incident, it was just a month of good shaves. I used a few razors I hadn't pulled out for quite awhile, and also reacquainted myself with some wonderful shave creams that had been languishing in the back of the bin under the sink. I really need to use my ProRaso more often, and I had forgotten why TOBS creams have been a shaving mainstay for well over a century. I think for June, I will stick with the Techs and continue to use neglected creams.

Sorry, I know you are Stephen, Stephen, but I forgot to erase the Jim when I was making a comment. As a teacher, I remember names pretty well. So, thanks for not giving me a shave cream pie in the face a la Soupy Sales. Lol!
I actually thought that their name was just across picture and not on the product. I mean if it was a nice name it would be different but Univinlions.
