I may be a day late getting here but I'm ready to go! Some great looking gear, both basic and not so basic, already out and about this month and I'm as caught up with everything here as I can be. With the first of the month on a Saturday I knew I'd be a bit behind. Here's a question for you - what happens in downtown St. Louis when the Blues have their first home game in the Stanley Cup Finals (no, we're not talking about the result), the Cardinals host the Cubs just down the street at Busch Stadium, and there is a huge outdoor party and rally scheduled leading up to the Blues game? Oh wait.....add in an approaching severe thunderstorm or two to that 100,000 people. For ordinary people that's a recipe for a potential disaster. For rideshare drivers it looks more like this.........
The surge ran double digits from 7pm to after midnight and the nightly total was quite nice. The 4 a.m. arrival home maybe not so much, which helps to explain how this shave ended the way it did. To start off basic I picked the '47 Super Speed and gave the VDH soap that usually only gets used for my head shaves the spotlight. The Semogue 620 is a good, cheap, very effective boar. Sharp Star - only the finest blade I own. This is a set up that is automatic, perfect, smooth, and harmless. Unless I decide to shave within an hour of getting out of bed today. I can say that three passes did, in fact, score a nice near-BBS result..........if you don't count the 9, yes, 9 (same number as the total goals in the hockey game) nicks and little bleeders. Alum was absolutely an experience with those little problems and it took some styptic to bring a couple of them under control. Well, maybe I thought MAYhem was still on?
Seriously, not my best effort but the month is started and I can go back to bed. Happy June everybody! And have a great Sunday!!
