  2. Thank you Blair . Good luck with your search . ;)
  3. I understand. We have to play with all of the toys in the toy box. My Karve and Rockwell's are boxed up for the month. I believe I am having separation anxiety. :(
  4. Very nice and classic shave Gary. Love the image setups you put together with attention to all the details.

Image pre-visualization. Nice layout Jim! Oh...great shave too...how you keep up with all that!?! :D

  7. Would it surprise you to know Mafia movies don't often play in my house? Not sure if I've ever seen The God Father and never the sequel(s?).

Can you get ahead of the next HOA project? Pick something that could use a refreshing that pointed towards the street. Spiff yours up, then submit a dozen anonymous complaints against every member of The Council on how their what ever it is needs fixing. Whether it needs it or not. Do that a couple months in a row and you'll find yourself on the council.

  12. Jurying?
  13. 12 steps, huh? That would explain why the 5 step program has been only marginally effective. And for the record, the 5 steps are much more streamlined:
    Step 1 - See soap
Step 2 - Say, no I won't buy this soap
Step 3 - Buy soap anyway.
Step 4 - Recognize, shamefully, you once again have too much soap.
Step 5 - Give away soap for Shavey Awards.
  14. I have never been able to finish a bloc of alum, they all die from unnatural causes. They either leap from the medicine cabinet onto the sink or from the counter to the floor.

Since people have been pointing out my gear I have to make sure that @clint64 and @Boojum1 are called out for their daily posting of fancy gear.
  15. Thanks Blair.

  19. For the record, I only have one Dovo shavette and 2 Dovo straights. Yes, I admit it. I did spoil myself. This VDH razor is the 2nd one I bought because the first broke apart. It was my first razor that brought me to wetshaving years ago. The main problem that I have with this razor is that it gets locked so that you cannot twist it open due to the soap scum getting inside the handle. You have to place it in boiling water to remove the scum so that it can function again. Also, the angle is hard to get because the gap is too small for my taste and that is why I get weepers and irritation with this razor. I mainly use it to refresh a shave that is less than 24 hours and that is very rare for me. Sometimes, I will use it to touchup a headshave. However, I would never use it as one of my mainstays in my rotation. I like the witty comback, Danny! Lol!
  20. Thanks, Danny.
