Charcoal gray silicone NATO band for my black Caravelle watch. Just dressy enough to look right (woven nylon and perlon don't match), quite comfortable so far but haven't worn it out in the heat yet. That may break the deal.
My neighborhood Kroger is closing. Been shopping there since 1980. Bunch of the remaining product is on clearance. Got the twin pack of OS deo at 25% off. The cayenne based hot sauce is mild, goes well with many Cajun foods, and makes good decanters for aftershaves that are sold in plastic bottles (Pinaud). Mustard & horseradish works well on roast beef sandwiches. They had four scents of Cremo, some canned goo shave cream, scads of cart razors, all at regular price. I passed.
For the 3rd year straight, I went to the Maggard Razor meet yesterday with my son and had a great time meeting folks and talking with vendors. Scored some nice samples and won a Fatip Piccolo in the raffle. I also bought my first straight razor - Ralf Aust and strop. It was a great time and highly recommend.
Welcome to the Dark Side Steve. Hope open edge shaving rewards you as it has me. Progress slowly, be safe, and have fun!
The Market Basket closest to my house has tailored their stock to the ethnic population in my neighborhood. I know where to shop for smoked turkey necks, chitlins, tripe, etc. There's one of those newer Walmart Markets just passed where the Kroger will soon used to be. Population has sifted to the south side of town the last 15-20 years and taken the money with it. Good news - Rousse's is expanding into the area. I'm curious who's going to take the empty building when my friendly neighborhood BigK is gone. We could use an indoor flea market.
Mail call today from @Jrdelgado. Cased 1930's Gillette New Bostonian (New SC), Albright Rubberset boar shave brush and some Voskhod blades.
