    June 3 SOTD:

    Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley
    Blade: Personna Blue
    Brush: Ever-Ready 150
    Lather: CO Bigelow
    Aftershave: Proraso Green
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

Life has been busy lately, and this is my first shave of June. Some terrific looking pictures, but honestly I haven't even had a chance to see all of them yet. I hope everyone has been doing well.

I mowed down 4 days of growth with the Karve and some Menthol Monday CO Bigelow. It was really a nice shave at the gym. My face was nice and smooth this morning. In fact it is still smooth. It was a great start to my day.

  6. +1 on the Guerlain Vetiver EdT. It has a nice bright vetiver scent that really wears well. I find it pairs well with many soaps. I plan to add more EdTs to my collection and just go with mentholated witch hazel for an aftershave.
  7. Excellent shave and photo Jim. I hope you are doing well.

  9. Thanks Jim! I had the Mysterious Space silver tip but I though it was almost floppy too so I got rid of it. I like me some backbone in a brush. I'm glad I tried the Voskhod again, this one is a lot better then I remembered.

  13. Thank you for the recommendation Joseph! Looks out of stock on his website. I'll search around for options.

Thank you Keith! Will look into the Fresh Vetiver of Fine products (been wanting to try them), so this will be one of the first. I had read some reviews of this exact version (Fine has a couple Vetivers), and the Fresh Vetiver seems to get the best backing.

    Good evening, guys!
    Straight Razor shave #76.
My next pick out of the hat was my Dovo Best Quality Straight Razor. After the last shave with my VDH TTO, this was a nice surprise pick. Now, the last 2 shaves with my Dovo Best were good, but when I refreshed it with Crox, it was not up to my standards. This time, I really added more Crox to my strop and did 50 laps with the razor and 50 laps on leather. What a difference to say the least! My Semogue OC Badger beautifully lathered the Stirling Sandalwood on my face. Two passes, touchups w/o any bloodshed or irritation produced an IBSS+. I could have gone for the BBS, but let me have a great shave without any errors. Applied the matching AS that gave some sting. I thoroughly enjoyed this shave because I really took my time. I really prefer night time shaving with straights because I am not rushed doing it.
    Result: Grade 97 = A+
I am excited because I will finally have my Rockwell Model T razor delivered tomorrow. I will post pictures of my new addition. Therefore, I will discontinue my random razor pick so that my next shave will be with my new Rocky T. After that shave, I will go back and continue to randomly hand pick my razors until the end of the month.
    Have a great evening, guys! 20190603_154308.jpg 20190603_154308.jpg
