  3. Friday Shave:

I like the smell of Tabac, and I am not afraid to admit it. The Wostenholme was just honed. While I can't get it scary sharp I can get it sharp enough to give a nice shave.

  4. As if the BAD/SAD/RAD admiration of items in this thread isn't already maddening enough. ;)

Merchants offering free shipping (once over $x), are just pure EVIL and TORTURE. :angry019:

    Hear me out....

10-15 minutes of shopping, 2-3 days of shipping, seconds to tear it open....a few more seconds to sniff/oogle/play with.....and then the real wait begins.....as it sits....because you really can only shave ONCE a day! Takes a week to rotate through it all. :signs131:

And....totally a TIC post. I feel better now. Sort of.
  5. Great photo with a gorgeous brush. Wise choice taking it easy on your colleague. Clubman combined with a few hour car ride could prove fatal.

  7. Everything about your post describes me. All the great shaves, pictures and reviews here promote acquisition disorders. Gotta spend enough to get free shipping, it makes financial sense.

TIC? Not familiar with the acronym.

  9. Interesting discussion of what Tabac's scent reminds you of. For me, it was a car that locked it in for me. It was a used BMW with leather seats that had been a smoker's car. When we got it on the lot I opened the door and that leathery/smoky smell hit me and to me....that was Tabac in a nutshell.

  11. I did shave yesterday. Just never quite managed to post, or even snap a photo. This thread being this thread, I'll just go with the current one.
Today, I went with the Haslinger marigold again. I will finish this puck. I don't know whether the Haslinger (or Brut) is basic. But the more important focus for me this whole year is reduction, so use it I will. I guess the Dollar Tree salsa dish is certainly basic enough. :D
On the reduction front, I have finished 2 soaps and sold 38 so far this year. And the sun still came up today. How 'bout that.

  13. Andrew, has yours every had a blow out and you had to strip the diaper off of them and then hose them off in the shower? How could one little body create that much? The joys of being a parent!

  19. OK, just wanted to welcome the new guys. A couple of you have come forward this week, and we “old guard” can be a bit cliquey, so, welcome gentlemen! Feel free to post your shaves and ask questions, and this cast of characters will have you shaving like a pro with whatever implement you choose. This includes, by the way, razor blades glued to twigs and/or fingers.
