    Just the Basics June!!

    Brush - Stirling Finest Badger

    So after Menthol Monday, Tabac Tuesday and Whatever Wednesday, I decided that "That'll do Thursday" was next in line. Just pick a soap I usually don't use much and yep, that'll do. I went to my cabinet and there stood the D.R. Harris Marlborough shave stick. Great....that'll do! I chose the Stirling finest badger brush and gave it a good soak. The lathering process was incredibly easy after I coated my face with the shave stick and it took little time and effort to pop a full lather and load the brush for the next two passes. This soap isn't the slickest, yet it's slick. Yeah, I know, great description. It is very cushy, and does a great job of providing glide and protection. The after shave face feel is nice as well. Not a thing wrong with this soap. It just gets ignored because it's small and gets hidden behind everything else.

    Three passes with the SS and Rapira and another BBS or close enough to be called one is in the books. Yep. That'll do.

    Ever had to do the kid AND the car seat in a shower at a truck stop halfway into a 7 hour trip that took 11 hours? That what the wife did. I was in the parking lot cleaning the rear left passenger compartment. Projectile vomiting at its best.

    The good Samaritan of the story is the semi driver who gave up his shower time slot so we could wash the little one.

    Three days of decent shaves. This is a single blade disposable, new one each day. Actually somewhat surprised in how well it performs. I also actually really like the scent of Gillette Foamy shave cream.

    Very nice cream you've got there! I really love the TOBS take on sandalwood! I have got the alcohol free aftershave because my skin can be a little dried out by traditional splashes! It still gives a burn though
