Just the Basics June!! June 6 Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Super Speed Blade - (2) Soap - D.R. Harris & Co. Marlborough Brush - Stirling Finest Badger Post - Alum So after Menthol Monday, Tabac Tuesday and Whatever Wednesday, I decided that "That'll do Thursday" was next in line. Just pick a soap I usually don't use much and yep, that'll do. I went to my cabinet and there stood the D.R. Harris Marlborough shave stick. Great....that'll do! I chose the Stirling finest badger brush and gave it a good soak. The lathering process was incredibly easy after I coated my face with the shave stick and it took little time and effort to pop a full lather and load the brush for the next two passes. This soap isn't the slickest, yet it's slick. Yeah, I know, great description. It is very cushy, and does a great job of providing glide and protection. The after shave face feel is nice as well. Not a thing wrong with this soap. It just gets ignored because it's small and gets hidden behind everything else. Three passes with the SS and Rapira and another BBS or close enough to be called one is in the books. Yep. That'll do.

Thursday SOTN Another Ikon SBS shave tonight but with Cella. I love that sweet and creamy Almondy scent. A very comfortable shave on the aggressive side of the baseplate mostly using the bar side. I did use the OC side sparingly, mostly on my cheeks. It just isn't quite as comfortable. I'm smooth, smell great, and ready for bed. Happy shaves! Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

2019-06-07. Friday I was puzzled by the difference in performance of the Feather on the razor that I used today: I can not understand that there is all this difference between a Rocket and a Super Speed! Of course, even soap has played a decisive role, though! Sapone PS: Pear Soap Sapone: Fitjar, Havn Ciotola: La Mariolina (Rosso di Ferro, Trieste) Pennello: L.V.
