I enjoyed a night shave before hitting the sack on about 36 hours of growth. Two easy passes resulted in near BBS results, and it was a very relaxing way to end the day. The blade seemed a little tuggy. I lost track of the number of shaves on it. One more shave on Sunday morning, and it's out. The Mongoose with the aforementioned accouterments have been the set up for awhile, and I'm getting ready for a change.

Unpacking and setting up shop continues. We're enjoying some cool weather, so that makes trips to the garage (for full boxes) and to the construction dumpster (with empty boxes) seem like a leisurely walk on French Riviera. I usually have both hands full, so I carry my champagne in an army canteen. We walk the neighborhood to check things out and meet our new neighbors in the evenings. We heard music last night...no, this was real music...not like those voices in my head. We discovered that several of the neighborhoods around us joined together for a summer picnic and concert. It looks like this will be a fun place to live.

It has been fun following along this month. Count me in when you all have the girly razor intervention for @Hembree. :D

    Have a fantastic weekend, gentlemen!

    SOTD:
Todays SOTD is a double post, ive been super busy this week and have a pretty bad case of flu, so i apologize for the late post, but here's the first shave.

    Shave 1:
What a fantastic shave with the Reitzer's perfect shave, this stuff is definitely one of my favourite soaps and probably tied with arko in terms of easy of lathering. Absolutely fantastic stuff, the personna lab blue continues to improve in terms of smoothness through use, even on shave four.

    Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
    Blade: personna lab blue (4)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
    Soap: Reitzer's perfect shave.
    Aftershave balm: prep

    Shave 2:
A fantastic shave from arko cool, definitely in my top two favourite creams, a little definitely goes a long way with this stuff. It's quite thick, more of a paste really, and in my experience thicker creams tend to require less product to get a perfect lather with, so its definitely fantastic value for money.

    Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
    Blade: personna lab blue (5)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
    Cream: Arko cool
    Aftershave Balm: prep[IMG][IMG]

Congrats Patrick. I'm glad you made it through another shutdown. That brings back a lot of memories for me. Long, tiring days, for sure, when I worked shutdowns in a chemical plant.

Even when I'm aware, I can thankfully still turn a blind eye toward difficult situations. ;)

    Gillette Slim

    Proraso AS Red

1.5 pass DFS+. Doesn't get much easier or simpler than this. Cheeks only need 1 pass, the neck needs 2, and only used buffing and skin stretching on the lower right neck. Little feedback from the Proraso AS on the buffed area.

    Have a Sensational Saturday everyone!

That sounds great, Matthew. You'll enjoy the razor rack for organizing and displaying your gear. Works great for fountain pens also. I picked up some inexpensive test tube stands on Amazon for this purpose.
