It appears to be a Bostonian as Chippendale cases had grooves on them. Also I think it's silver by the corrosian and just showing brass under the worn plating. Some of those tabs on the top tray are bent as they hold the blade bank in place.

It looks like there is a tray hinge on the left side, two are needed. Not sure if you need this, but maybe it'll help to make the two sides..................

 

A local mom and pop store just started carrying Superior 70 menthol version. Have tried the regular and it got to where it gave me a headache...hopefully this will not. It it does, it gets Boxed.

 

I wonder how it compares to Osage Rub. If you don't like it, I'll know!

 

It's been years since I had any but I liked Osage Rub.

Shaved my neck a few hours ago. None of the expected discomfort from the camphor or eucalyptus, but also get the barest hint of coolness. Will definitely need to spike with crystals. No alcohol burn either but then the E2 didn't scrape me.

The pine and bay scents are there; pine more dominant (yay). All in all, smells like a medicianalized Pine-Sol. Industrial strength old man scent, most will think. Hopefully it'll work in a spray bottle as Skeeter-B-Gone.

 

It looks like the left one is in place and parts of the right one are laying in the bottom of the case.

 

Just got The Holy Black SR-71 Slant razor and Rich Man Shaving Espresso Shot brush with 30mm synthetic knot. This razor has got to be my heaviest razor; weighing in at 5.1 ounces and the brush is the largest knotted brush in my collection at 30mm.

 

too bad people will think it smells like Geezer -Be -Here or eau de old fart

Heavily dosed with menthol, it's a pretty close substitute for Osage.
