Great Rick! The thing that's holding me back is dull razors. I know, I know get someone to sharpen them....... Know that almost any DE blade and some SE blades pull and tug right out of the wrapper. I kinda spoiled myself using new feather blades for each shave, then I totally did myself in by changing blades between passes. The best I have is a shavette using a 1/2 feather blade. Bill @Edison Carter turned me on to a nice Focus R21 Inox Evolution Shavette Straight Razor. It works great and sharp, no tug n pull. Not enough time on it yet though. So I might be using it till I get a straight sharp, scary sharp. Got some diamond paste coming, and gonna make a board to see if I can sharpen an edge. Kinda want to do it myself, ya know, the manly thing . Thanks tp
Welcome to Sunday, Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals!!! Yeah, I don't care what the date is. The game is the center of the world in STL right now. Just a check in after a busy Saturday night that turned south on me after I got home. Don't know if I picked up a bug somewhere or maybe am having a bit of a reaction with my pancreas, but I am down for the count today. Keeping an eye on everything to make sure it's not something that will get any worse. Anyway, no shave today as I'm pretty shaky and weak after a bad night. I'll save my energy to celebrate when the Blues win the Cup tonight. Have a great Sunday!!
@RyX Here is the link to the soap. It was a limited edition from across the street. The soap maker has done one before this, which turned out very well also. It was hand made from rendered beef tallow and scented with essential oils. http://www.theoriginalsafety2.com/thread/3542/tost-le-soap-vintagelife
Great shave and glad you are enjoying your neighborhood. Please set the date for the intervention....................I need help and one of the first signs of recovering is knowing you need help!
Beautiful picture and great combo on the razor. The new and vintage looks great together. Enjoy your bachelor time.
Great shave guys and reports. Just trying to catch up. I wish I could comment on each one. I was at the farm yesterday for most of the day and over at my parents today. Both of them cannot do hardly anything and the house keeper/care giver has not been over in a week and I pretty much told her not to come back that we need someone we can depend on. This is putting a lot on my wife and myself but we will manage. Take care guys and I enjoy the pictures and reports.
