I'm looking forward to "feeling painful"....we have one coolish day this week-a hiccup-but I bet the consistent warmth is right around the corner.

F4853D29-68F3-469D-AE22-CAAAA164AF8D.jpeg So today I reached for the Mergress which is always a favourite of mine, just love the weight and balance. Loaded with the ever smooth Voskhod and we are always good to go.

Today’s soap was new to me CBL Soaps - Barbershop and what a great soap it was! The scent is just about the best barbershop I have smelt in a long time, as good as B&M Seville just a tad less sweet with a bit of a nuttiness to it...I know that’s weird eh? Well that’s what I smell anyway and scents are always subjective but what isn’t is performance and this soap kills it in that department! Easy to lather and slick! Loaded too much and it pained me to let some go but I only had time for a 2 pass shave and quite a DFS it was!

Lovely scent, lovely shave and finished off with some Clubman! Oh yeah! Happy Monday and happy shaves all!

*Given who quickly CG heads tend to go, felt I was going out on a limb skipping passed the most popular L2 and getting a L3, concerned that if the 3 proved too aggressive the 2's might sell out and it could be a while before getting a chance to pick one up. Fortunately not an issue in the least, I found the L3 to be slightly more aggressive than my Wolfman Razors Guerrilla and neither are as aggressive as my Karve Shaving Co. Christopher Bradley Open Comb F-Plate, which I could daily drive, so quite happy with it. Where the CG most impressed me was its compact cap profile, it feels more compact and shorter which gets it into the under nostril area with ease; this come at mute the feel of coming off your head angle but a manageable trade off.
