  3. I love it....fight fire with fire. I understand that a lot of these doctors offices stack appointments. They may have two and three appointments at the same time. I left a nice Google review and they lost their 5 star rating.

  4. Blair, You might have dulled the blade when stropping. Are your 100 laps a full forward and back for 1 lap or 2 laps? If you are counting 1 lap as one forward and one back, then that's too much! At the most, I do 50 or 60 laps, however, my usual number is between 30 and 40.

  6. Flea mall finds from Monday.

The Currier & Ives is an empty bottle but I just liked the bottle.

Full bottle of Yardley of London King Arthur. It passed the wife's smell test after she turned her nose up at it.

A nice little Gem. She is showing a little brass in some areas on the head. The handle will also fit my lather catcher that I made the wood handle for.

  8. Never said they were all the same just that this was all "nailed" down years ago. I mean my New Type long comb is bumping my Karve. The Karve is just a prettier razor. True we all like to shave with different razors at times but are we really getting a better shave from a modern vs. a 100 year old razor. That was my point. Gary you have some wonderful razor in your collection and does a modern razor shave better than those? I am not beating up on modern razors by no means. I have a few and I love them. I just have a lot and I mean a lot of respect for the vintage razors.

  13. Good morning. I know it’s been a while since I checked in. Life has been crazy. I’m sitting in yet another airplane (connecting Vegas to KC). I do miss you guys.
I did catch the theme this month and every shave has been the same for twelve days. Yes, I’m doing an actual focus. And it’s not a straight

  20. Great post Joe!
I don't use a mirror either, but I use a safety razor. I just learned how to go over the area's properly. I will say if I use a MMOC or something that efficient, the shave is close and smooth as can be.
Using an open blade is in the future, but for now I'm not very versed in the dark art.
