    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    EDRIO#79 Schick Injector L1
    Crummy used blade
    JR #134 (24mm, Frigate Class)
    Stirling Triumph soap and AS
    Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB

Another Schick Injector that had a blade in it and another crummy shave. With as many blades as I have I should just load a new one instead of rolling the dice with an unknown used blade. My three passes were smooth enough but the was still visible stubble after my final rinse. Tomorrow I'm treating myself to a brand new blade. New Stirling scent in the den. Triumph is a hard one to nail down. Kind fruity like apricot, perhaps some neroli and bergamot, fresh linen. It's on the sweeter side and I like it, it's a keeper! Have a great day my friend's!

    Hump day!

That's gotta really burn when someone uses their tactics against them and WINS! Thank you for sharing Keith.
Sure did Joseph. Couple years ago I saw a list of movies from yesteryear. Many black and white classics, and a few odd balls for significant reasons. Freaks was among them. When these films were shown in theaters they might have gotten poor reviews, or been unappreciated by movie goers. I still haven't watched Citizen Kane, but recently saw a documentary on how it was quashed by W.R.Hearst. It's on my list and thanks to digital media and broadband easily available.
Nice set up Jim! I've seen a number of members trying to codify their weekly, but yours tops the list of lists. Plenty of variation to stave away the boring shaves.
Tsunami? A big wave rushed in, then left you with a wet area to scrub up with a brush!

  11. I get same results every time I pick up an injector so I slide the key in and scrub with toothbrush. Most times I find its just harboring soap and makes ot feel like a dull blade.
Whatever it is works for me .

  14. Growing up in Chicago, I keep a couple winter coats in the closet. They don't see much use this close to the equator. I enjoy those winter days where it's cool enough for a sweat shirt on over tee shirt and shorts.
Maybe in a pizza oven, but not near Interstate 10. We average 60%+ humidity.
I wore at least two pairs of socks this past winter. They keep my sandal toes warm when it gets below 40F / 4.5C. ;)

Atlanta doesn't have "traffic hour", just Traffic. I lived next door to Stone Mountain (Snellville) for twenty years. There on a weekend when the laser show lets out, and Top End of I-285 on a Friday afternoon are to be avoided when ever possible.
  15. Details, man! I've seen the Speick soap around before but never tried it. It's supposed to be "between chamomile and patchouli" or something like that. A European plant that is a little exotic to Americans so it just doesn't compare to anything else. Can you describe it?

  16. With experience and proper Technique, razors become blade holders. Granted two of the same well worn vintage, or low machining tolerance modern razors might shave different. Think the advancement in blade tech is a larger factor? Not just going from high carbon steel to stainless, but coatings and manufacturing techniques? Chinese blades aside, all the good blades tend to be good enough. There are standouts like Feathers, but generally an Astra SP is as good as a Voskhod is as good as...
  17. Thanks Danny! Gillette made the best DE razors and that's why that name is still revered in the shave world.

I'll see how the themed shaves go. Just trying to keep it interesting.

  20. That is my routine as well. I will stay with a DE for longer than 3 days but it is always a multiple of 3. For injectors, AC or Gem razors I use them for 6 or 7 shaves before putting them away.
