  3. UPDATE 06/13 SHAVE

Gents I have a confession to make. I think I have become a convert of the personna blades. The only thing is that I have to toss the blade after 3 shaves. On the 3rd shave I have to be more careful as the blade seems a bit rough. So in favor of Astra SP, this never happened; the blade retained the smoothness till shave number 4. Not a big deal, considering I bought a hundred pack for $13 (US). On the smoothness of the shaves I am getting with Personna though, I have become a fan. I am getting a perfect BBS shave every time. I got the first minor nick during this shave, but it was my fault, I was in a hurry was late for work. But still considering that I was rushing the shave along, the blade was quite forgiving; if I did that with Astra SP, my neck will burn for hours.

The razor is performing much better, now that I have found the "sweet spot". The weight of the razor is contributing to a much nicer and overall smooth shave. To be honest, I can't wait till the next time I will get to use the razor (unfortunately my face just cannot handle daily shaves). The handle's shape I find to be providing me with the confidence I needed on the AGT pass. Nice effortless 3 pass shave.

On a side note, I have always gotten a little bit of razor burn in the neck area, no matter which razor I use. As for the technique, I think mine is pretty solid, after shaving for 4 years with a safety razor. This happens to me irrespective of the blade also. Next month will try some witch hazel that I have. Do you think its ok to include the witch hazel during this month of the shave, I read that it soothes them burns.

All in all, I am very with the new "asset" I have acquired. Will be taking care of them and probably will last me a life time.

Have a great day gents, and continue shaving and kicking "king Gillette's" butt. Cheers!!

  10. Nice B&W Chris.

Blades are cheap. Dont sacrifice a great shave for the sake of a few cents. I'd say definitely yes to witch hazel. Makes cleanup easier and soothes the skin.

  14. There have been some set backs fixing my kids bathroom, when I went to insulate it, I discovered mold. So I had to kill that all off and it took me 2 days to get it killed off and treated, as it takes a bit of dry time between treatments. I now have to re hang all the drywall, which I was not planning on removing. That's construction for you.

  20. Please send that hunk of tin over Toronto way when yous are done with it. Its time for them to end the drought there too.

Loved that report. I enjoyed every minute of that game and O'Reillys post game interview . Even though Marchand is from down my way I do not like him. Felt bad for Rask as they didnt support him very well and goalies always seem to take the brunt of the blame for a loss. Well deserved victory for the Blues.

    Awesome gear Gary.

Crappy day here too but we need the rain so the grass will grow and the concerto of lawn mowers will strike up again in my neighborhood. One guy was mowing in the rain last night. Ugh. Great shave Robert.
