15mm vs 17mm baseplate..not my pic..measured across bottom.. yours may be a 15mm based on your pics..also see where your gillette stamp is your pic..and mine. 17mm 2 piece on left, 15mm on right..hope this helps.. the top of the baseplate is identical between the 15 and 17 mm .the 15 has deeper lather channels shave feels the same imo..
Good point. Mapping growth patterns help to avoid irritation from shaving in the wrong direction. Some guys are lucky enough to have the " swirl" or circular pattern under the jaw to which every direction feels like ATG.

June 14, 2019 Tatara Masamune Feather Alpha 400 with Druida Manchurian Pre de Provence Myrsol Agua Balsamica Happy Friday !!! Inspired by @jluc , I decided to pull out my neglected Pre de Provence soap and give it a go. The soap is not the slickest but it is easy to lather and works very well. I really like the Fougere type scent of the soap which makes face lathering even better. Three passes and touch ups ended in another drama free perfect BBS shave. A splash of Myrsol Balsamica and I am off to my office. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
