  1. Clog Pruf peerless, (S)chick injector blade, shave 2.
    cpsi1.jpg

The closeness of the shave improved on shave 2. I don't think it has to do with the blade being broken in but with small adjustments to get a better result with this razor/blade combo. Shave was on par with a Gem blade in this razor now but the difference is with a Gem this razor is very smooth and efficient with this (S)chick it is one seriously aggressive S.O.B. How much that has to do with the sharpness of the blade or angle I don't know. Tomorrow I'll nibble the blade so it sits flat on the base plate and see how much that changes how it shaves.

As at the end of this AC/ SE rotation I decided that as yesterdays Shave was so good, it would be nice to use the ATT SE1 again for a leisurely Shave. Get the Tabac right and it really is a delight to shave with, and assisted in delivery of a Great Shave. Probably the best of this rotation.

Chose the 1924 for the start of this Vintage Se rotation. Despite its careworn appearance, with the addition of a non stock handle it Shaves very nicely. I am rather pleased with quality of the finished Shave, an excellent start to this rotation.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #367 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the AutoStrop B1 razor with a Valet AutoStrop blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

2nd SE shave. Continues to be good, but it is hard to get under the nose. I think it is the blade stops that get in the way. Later models like the micromatic might work better because of full blade exposure right to the edge of the razor. After a week or so, I will give the micromatic a try. I am wishing I didn't sell my G-Bar now that I am going down this rabbit hole.[IMG]

Nibbled the blade so it could sit flat on the base plate for this shave. End result shave was a lot less aggressive though still more aggressive than the Gem blade in this razor. All the prior shaves were closer also but to put it in perspective this shave was still better than 99% of the razors I've used. Another shave or 2 I probably can dial in this razor/blade combo better. I am going to come back to this combo after I try this blade out in different Micromatics for the next few shaves.
