1. Thanks Paul. So far I'm hanging tough with the NB and I'm hoping I can make it all the way...but it is tough :)

  3. Well I have the first 30 hrs behind me. Apparently things were more torn up than expected, but the surgery was a success.............according to the surgeon.

I quickly learned that the ice machine is my friend, and that 5mg of oxy every six hours wasn’t working but 10 mg every four is.

The whiskers are growing at a steady pace, but I won’t worry about that until I get a few more days behind me. I’m thinking Lemony Orange might get the honors when the time comes.
  4. Glad the surgery went well.

Please try to wean yourself off the oxy as soon as you can. Years back I had a series of procedures where I learned that a physical addiction would begin to take root in a couple of days.

After the first night I slept through, I woke up with everything aching and a nauseated feeling. 10 min after my morning oxy, I was fine.

Miraculous pain control I would not have wanted to be without, just remain aware.

Think I'll use Lemony Orange today as my tribute to your recovery.

    Be well.

  5. What a nice reason to use the Lemony Orange, Mr. Cawtuh.
  6. I appreciate the advice. I actually argued against even filling the prescription before the surgery because I’ve heard the all too common stories. I conceded, but then cut the pills into half doses, thinking that’d be enough.

Long story short, I quickly learned that I was miserable and couldn’t sleep through the pain with a 1/6hr routine. I AM weaning back today............my last dose was 1.5 instead of two. You’re right, the pain killing is miraculous, but I will distance myself from it very soon.

    Thanks again.

  10. Good luck with the recovery.
  11. Slight delay with the arrival of my bath soaps. Was supposed to be here yesterday-hoping for tomorrow.
  12. And now they're here :). Just to refresh, the bath soaps are Island Man, Xecutive Man, and Agar. The Doc flipped in a sample Coniferous bath soap. I have a ways to go with my Block Island hand soap, then it's time for some Stoylin pleasure. Block is artisan soap, too, thus lots of artisan for the next month or so :).
