Thanks so much for the kind words, Danny. The area we went to is, in a small way, a "Turner plot", as my Mom's remains join those of my Dad and both his parents. . It's in Rocky Mtn. National Park, where we've been many times, and my Dad and his prior family spent many summers there. I keep insisting that the mountain you see in my avatar is Longs Peak which I climbed twice. I'd love to get clarification of that somehow.

I lost my mom to cancer 15 years ago and it still pains me. However, I know that I will see her again, one day. The best memorial for our moms is to be the best person possible and that's what I try to do every day.

Very well stated. I wouldn't be surprised if after 15 years I will still feel the same as the first 2. Y'know, those lyrix in that song Mr. Bojangles-"After 20 years he still grieves"? There was some meaning to that. Cancer took my mom, too.

Fathers' Day ended up being a no-shave day, so I was working against three days of growth this morning. No problem, however, as I pulled out a Schick B1 loaded with a Proline B. The result was a nice, close shave with no issues and no irritation.

    Monday evening June 17

Supply Co Single Edge V2 on two-dot plate / Personna (unknown uses)
    APShaveCo Flat Top SynBad
    La Toja shave cream
    Lucky Tiger balm

Had about a four day stubble to slice through. The Supply injector did so with no fuss or drama. The La Toja cream continues to provide great lather and excellent performance each time. Lucky Tiger for an orange-scented finish.

    Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Will do! I'm guessing that my honed edges will end up smoother/sharper overall.

I'm currently in the K.I.S.S. mode on honing/edge maintenance, and really want to keep it that way. Right now, two stones and a strop....getting DFS shaves with the edges worked so far. I'm the do it muhself dude whenever I can....however, Glen does have one of my straights to rescale and hone. I'll probably find out how bad I am at honing when it returns, but it'll give me a goal of where I want to get to someday (with minimalist tools and brain involvement).

Thanks! More enabling....love it! :) Will look into this one also.
