My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Vintage Life Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #367 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor with a Heljestrand Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Lilac Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It’s a pity that this Derbylux cream was discontinued because it’s so good. It’s from Hungary and made by Caola-Alfa, which is the company that produces the Barbon and Figaro creams and aftershaves. This one has a lovely sporty, aqua kind of scent, the lather explodes off the brush, and it has a mild, pleasant cooling sensation. The Prep has become one of my favorite balms, and this Fougere Santal aftershave from Reef Point was a gift from the wife a couple of years ago - does it ever smell beautiful and it has plenty of menthol in it. The new Astra Green made it so easy for me to get a perfect BBS shave!
