Your photos and gear are as enabling as always, Jim! I think, given the choice, I'd probably grab one of the OC 'Crats first.

Another beautiful pic Clint. Have a great day.

Very nice pic Jim. Sorry about the nick.

    Awesome Danny!

Great shave and pic Jason. I assume you got the power running again.

    Great report Charlie!

When I complimented Jason @jtspartan on his pics , he accredited it to poor lightning . Wish I had poor lightning.

    Very nice setup Jim.

    Boellis Panama 1924~~Simpson 3 "Chubby" Extra Super~~Portland 1905
Yesterday's afternoon shave was still pretty, darn smooth early this morning; I could have gone without. :rolleyes005:
    I clearly didn't. :)
The Boellis Panama ceramic container is the largest in my den and really the only one that can
accomodate my largest brush, the massive Chubby 3 Extra Super.
I could serious cover my entire facial shave-area with 2 swipes.
The former cream has hardened over the years and could rightfully be called a soap.
Nevertheless, with some well-timed blooming, there's no issue picking up plentissimo of
product for a minimum of 13 passes.
I only performed two, seeing as the stubble was rather sparse.
Eschewed the ATG pass, so there remains some residual her and there,
qualifying this shave for a DFS...at best.
Still, the alum was quiet; I didn't get nicked; the Thayer's was sufficiently medicinal
and, finally, the BP EdT left me smelling....

    veddy nice. :D

I have one of those as well, and I do like them better. The downside to them is the prices are out there. I got a decent deal on mine, but it took a long time and patience. The Sheraton and Senators are a little easier to find for a better price.

Oh, man. The Enabling is hot and heavy today. Y'all are hitting some of my soft spots.
Joe, that's more in my price range to maintain open blades. I will be reading, watching videos, and paying attention to your progress using lapping films!
Vintage OC TTO... you guys are killing me here. Up to my elbows in 3pc OC but the other options keep showing up. Thanks for the mantra Jason.
    "Must not search..."
Then Jim comes along and stirs it up again. Sheraton and Senators? Thanks for the clue!

    SOTD:
First few shaves with my brand new Schick injector, and what a beautiful razor! Its so easy to shave with, its basically like shaving with a cartridge razor, only without any irritation just like when you use a DE. A huge thanks to Dini for the injector as well as the pearl OC and shave bowls.

Shave 1: A beautiful first shave with the Schick, 0 tugging or irritation, took 3 shaves to get BBS, wonderful slickness from the boots shave stick.

    Razor: Schick injector
    Blade: Schick ultra platinum (1)
    Brush: omega 49
    Soap: boots shave stick
    Aftershave Balm: prep

Shave 2: Super smooth shave, You can literally speed shave with this injector with minimal risk of cutting yourself. What a fantastic razor.

    Razor: Schick injector
    Blade: Schick ultra platinum (2)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
    Soap: Wilkinson sword shave soap
    Aftershave Balm: prep[IMG][IMG]

    June Menthol Monday

    Colgate Cup Soap + Menthol
    Omega Pro 98 boar brush
    Suribachi bowl, cool water
    1921 Gillette Single Ring
    Gillette Silver Blue blade
    Generic Blue aftershave
SOTD 06242019 1st use menthol crystal & '20 SiRi.gif From that Traveling Box stuff I chose a smaller crystal of Menthol. Crushed it, dumped the powder into the bowl, and stirred up vintage Colgate lather. The soap performs very well since I grated it into an OS mug. The outer surface of the puck had dried/oxidized making it difficult to load. Now it's comparable to modern soaps for ease of loading with all the right lather qualities. The added menthol gave it just a touch of scent and plenty of cooling for a Monday shave. Swapped the slightly used GSB to the second old 3pc for it's first test run. I wouldn't call this an aggressive razor because it didn't bite me. It is efficient! Having already handled the '06 model there was little trepidation going in. Took a three pass & did the same clean up fiddling I'd use with any other DE. Very smooth finish that could be a BBS with half a Focus. The Blue juice left a nice scent and the glycerin always feels nice.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
