Now for those of you that don’t know the SBS is a OC on one side and SB on the other. Plus, you can flip the base plate between a milder or more aggressive blade profile. I went with the milder side first just to get a feel for it. The SBS head complete incloses the blade so there are no tabs poking out. All good but it does make for a pretty big profile. Loaded it up with a fresh Wilkinson Sword (Germany) to see how good it could be.

Today’s soap RazoRock Plague Doctor which is a great flowery scent and is perfect for this time of year. Crisp and clean. Lathered up a storm and went to work with the Simpson Colonel X2L.

The razor was indeed heavy but balanced well, the shaving angle was just a tad more than 30 degrees but I had no issues finding the sweet spot. First pass WTG was with the OC side and it was smooth and milder than I expected. Second pass was XTG both ways with the SB which was more aggressive than the OC side. Voila! Excellent DFS bordering on BBS. I will try the more aggressive side of the baseplate next time round. Take care, safe travels and happy shaves all.

    Tuesday Tabac SOTD

Well, back home from my vacation and back to work. A cool water Tabac shave today with the Aluminum Colonial General on an Ikon Bulldog Handle. The matte finish on the handle matches the Aluminum Colonial General pretty well. Very Smooth and ready to work until midnight. Cheers all!

Tonight's shave was with a razor, of unknown "Origin". Possibly USA, Possibly Solingen. I had a Silky smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Even smooth as can be, ATG. Zero sting with Alcohol based aftershave.

    Razor- Bengalia. J.J.N.Y.
    Brush- Omega Boar. 10098
Soap- Turkish . "More For You". Like ARKO Plus.
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy
