Hello again all... Not much time but I thought it good form to report this morning's shave. Every thing the same all week but an added twist today. While finishing up the 2cd pass on the old mug I decided to do one more. Yes! A third that's 3 passes on the face with a single blade, well.... This pass was smooth and uneventful, wonderful, and seems that this blade / razor combo really works nice for me. Now the head shave got a little shady at the 2cd pass, so I could have loaded a new blade, but I didn't. So I almost had a full shave out of one blade, but performance fell off at the end. This weeks tools. Razor - Parker 55SL semi slant. All... Enjoy tp
June 28, 2019 Brass General Feather Pro Super Paladin Oleo Shiloh Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Friday everyone. Time to switch up the hardware a little so I will be using the Paladin Beehive the next few days. The Paladin did a wonderful job whipping up the Oleo Shiloh into a rich slick lather. This soap is close to being finished. Soaps that get to this point seem to hang on much longer than I anticipate. Three passes with touch ups and buffing my neck ended in another automatic BBS shave. A splash of the matching Shiloh aftershave left me smooth shaven and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone as a fantastic Friday.
06/28/2019 – Focus Shave #14 for June RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush Timeless Lather Bowl Scuttle Fine Accoutrements – Snake Bite Astra SP Gillette N1 1968 Knack Univinlions (Kai Clone) with Feather Pro Blade Pinuad Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum The Knack was up today and I find it to be an interesting razor and not a bad one at that. The Knack is head heavy and the shave is comparable with the 1965 Super Speed that I previously shaved with. I completed one pass on the cheeks and necks with the Univinlions. I finished the second pass of the shave and few touch ups with the Knack. I don’t know why we don’t see more Knacks on TSD. It may be the plastic handle or the length of the handle that throws everyone off but it is a good little razor. If you run across one don't be afraid to add it to your den. Finished up with a little Pinuad Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum. Y’all have a Dixie day!
Pretty good shave today-I can't say "great" because I couldn't get the Burma Shave brush knots to fold up and look like the ol' NBC Peacock(remember the jingle??). 2 passes, but I hadto make 3 or 4 "loads" to be successful. But once the shave got going, things smoothed out(literally writing). The Stoylin Glacial Sharp Dressed Man "duo"(soap and A.S.)did wonders on what appears to be the hottest day of the year-thus far. 90 today. Great day for a haircut from, the ladies.
