Variant vs progress

I like the progess.
They shave similar. But i had the progress first, and probably favored it. The main reason is the handle seemed perfect, the variant seems a bit long. On the other side, i never really liked the plastic knob on the progess.
The shave of both are my hallmark. Everything else is compared to these two.

 

Very well said I think if I had to choose one I would choose the Parker. Lotta people on YouTube refer to the progress not like the knob. Thanks for your input

I prefer the vintage look of the Progress, balance and grip are fine for me so the Variant doesn't particularly speak to me.

I have owned both, at the same time for comparison purposes. They do both shave very similar, when using the same blade in both. For me the progress shaves best with an Astra SP Blade and the Variant Shaves best with a Feather Blade. The Variant is heavier and the handle is slightly longer. I much prefer the Progress and have no issues with the plastic knob. My best shaves, are achieved on No. 4, with the Progress. I have sold off the Variant.

 

I only have the Variant.
I liked the knurlies on the handle

 

Im gonna vote to own both.

 

Own both and much prefer the Variant.
