I guess that could be possible but I was referring to the Karve prices. It would be interesting to see more manufacturers come out with brass razors.
My guess is that the stainless option will end up being the more popular option on the Karve. Most people don't want to keep up with the brass.
Thank you, Blair! I am planning on doing some film honing the first or second week in July! I will probably start on some of my vintage razors such as the 5/8 F W Engel, and my 5/8 Wolstenholm and quite possibly my 2 Dovos. I will see when the time comes and will start a new thread to share my ups and downs of film honing. Yes, I will include pictures.
Programming Note: We are down to the final two days of Just the Basics June. Again, another great month. Thanks to all! July is normally "Just July". Free shave month, if you will, with one caveat - for those brave souls who want it's also CINCO DE JULIO!!! The fifth of July some of us take the opportunity to make a razor from two popsicle sticks and a blade and shave with it. If you want to try, fine. Just remember that using objects not intended for shaving is not recommended, endorsed, nor encouraged by TSD. I'm behind due to a busy weekend. July's thread may be delayed until Sunday sometime, but it will be up before July actually begins. Thanks for the patience.
Just the Basics June!! June 29 Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (9) Blade (3) Soap - Stirling Barbershop Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum Off schedule a bit due to a busy STL weekend. Pride downtown AND at Tower Grove Park today had me out early, while I stayed out late last night and skipped the shave. After about 12 hours today it's home and two days growth to deal with. Fortunately I have another shave on the Fatboy and Sharpstar. No worries. It's Stirling Saturday so the Barbershop tub comes out along with the JR54 for an absolutely unbeatable lather. Two passes, some touch up, the baby showed up, alum is quiet, and I'm in early on a Saturday. I may get July opened up closer to on time than I thought. Or not. Have a fantastic Sunday!
Rick, I think you are looking at the periodic table and comparing the position of the named elements. I am refering to Table J in the high school chemistry reference table. Anyone can google it and you will see what I am talking about. Uranium is not on the list. Xenon is inert and does not react.
