2019-06-30, Sunday Nice cool tonight and the Fitjar Slåtterøy cream matched my emotional state of a grayish dawn, as I imagine a Nordic one. The texture is very soft, enveloping, and the fragrance is pleasant. It does not have a definite fragrance and has not awakened "memories of when sailors returned home with mysterious gifts" (I think it is a metaphor for saying they sneaked in loads of drugs!). Seems to be the only aftershave/fragrance (in my collection anyway) that somewhat pairs with this wonderful smelling soap. I've written the company that makes this and asked them to make a matching aftershave. So far it looks unlikely. The scent is really great. I highly recommend this soap, if only to have a very original, authentic regional scent in a shaving soap. It will be my first shave with it. It's tough to wait until the morning. ***EDIT - By the way. I just have to say that this shaving soap's scent is what shaving soap scents are all about. It kills me that they don't have a splash of this amazing scent (although Pinaud Special Reserve is serviceable in this role as a complimentary splash). If you don't have this shaving soap you're missing out. It's one of the best small-house scent's I've come across. Masculine scent x10++ It's a 'must-own' and I never say that about anything, but it is nonetheless.

SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap Jayaruh #369 Synthetic J.A. Henckels J.A. Henckels Wedge Pinaud Clubman My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #369 Synthetic brush. I did one pass with the J.A. Henckels Lather Catcher razor with a J.A. Henckels Wedge blade and finished up with my new Personna injector with a Personna blade for a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Sunday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/new Astra Green Chabrawichi 555 SC Lubriderm Moisturizer Chabrawichi 555 Cologne I found this Chabrawichi cream last night in my daughter’s room when I went to look for a book of hers and I had completely forgotten that I had this stuff. Like the matching cologne it’s Egyptian-made and it’s got a very nice lemony/lavender scent with good lather. The skincare is decent, but not as good as other creams from Egypt so I had to put on quite a bit of Lubriderm moisturizer to relieve the slight feeling of dryness. The matching cologne is very refreshing and it works well as an aftershave. The new Astra Green made my BBS mission so easy to accomplish!
Went with a Fatboy this morning. Good shave as I expected. I never try for a BBS, but close and comfortable with no irritation is a win in my book!
